GTUG Հայաստան (Google Technology User Group Armenia) խմբի հանդիպում : 2011թ. Հուլիսի 7-ին, ժամը` 18:30 Սարմենի 1 հասցեում տեղի կունենա GTUG Հայաստան խմբի հերթական հանդիպումը, որն այս անգամ վերաբեվում է շատ կարևոր և ակտուալ թեմայի` Google Maps և Google Map Maker գործիքներին, որոնց կիրառումն այսօր ցանցում շատ ակտուալ է:

Հանդիպման մասնակիցների միջև նախատեսվում է քննարկում Google Maps քարտեզներում հայկական տեղանունների ճիշտ ներկայացման մասին, ինչպես նաև, թե ինչպես օգտագործել Google Map Maker գործիքը վերոնշյալ նպատակի համար:

Google I/O Extended 2011 - ուղիղ միացում Երևանից

Եվ այսպես, 2011թ. մայիսի 10-ին GTUG Armenia խումբը (Google Technology User Group Armenia) ուղիղ միացումով կմիանա Սան Ֆրանցիսկոյում տեղի ունենալիք Google I/O Extended 2011 Միջոցառմանը: Մանրամասները` այստեղ

GTUG Armenia group joins Google I/O Extended 2011 event

We are happy to inform you that GTUG Armenia group joins Google I/O Extended 2011 event organized within the frames of Google I/O 2011, during which we will watch happenings in the Google I/O 2011 event rooms online.

Google I/O 2011 will take place on May 10 and May 11, but we are going to watch only the May 10th part named KEYNOTE taking place at 9:00-10:00 by San Francisco clock, after which those  interested can watch the live streaming in GTUG Armenia group’s partner website  Pcnews.am (on May 10 and May 11).
Yerevan participants of the GTUG meeting will be able to watch only KEYNOTE part because of the 12 hour difference in Yerevan’s and San Francisco’s time zone.

GTUG Armenia first meeting take place in Yerevan

The first meeting of GTUG Armenia (Google Technology User Group Armenia) took place on February 12, 2011, in Yerevan city.

As it was planned beforehand, 3 main topics were discussed: Google Chrome, HTML 5 and the Armenian fonts issue in mobile phones working with Android OS. The participants of the meeting had many questions during the presentations of the topics, and it was decided to discuss some part of the questions during next meetings, as well as have online discussions in GTUG Armenia Google group.

The most actively discussed topic was the absence of Armenian fonts in mobile phones working with Google Android OS. It was mentioned that the discussion of the issue was started during the Android forum, where Armenians wanted the Android OS producer to introduce Armenian fonts, particularly to add Armenian fonts to already existing DroidSans font.

GTUG Armenia First Meeting

On February 12, 2011 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm the first meeting of GTUG Armenian group (Google Technology User Group Armenia) will take place. The following topics are chosen for the first meeting:

• HTML 5
• ANDROID and armenian language
• Google Chrome

We will also discuss general type of questions and will make it a habit such kind of discussions during upcoming meetings.

Participation in the meeting is free of charge and is open for all interested parties. However, you will need to register beforehand for the participation. Click here to register on this event.
